Buon Giorno!

Buon giorno!
Bryan and I are going to Rome! We are excited to explore Italy, eat pasta and gellato and say "When in Rome" any time we want to splurge! Since B and I have never been to Rome..we made it our next European destination get-away! (last time we went to Paris) We have been taking notes of all the sights to see and things to do there!

After 3 days, we will say ciao to Rome and Bonjour to Switzerland where we are staying for the rest of our European trip for some quality family time with my Daddy, my big sister Pam & her husband Kevin!

My dad, who is now a member of the Swiss hiking club, always plans these amazing excursions for the family! (side note: Pam and I are trying to get him to start blogging about his Swiss hiking experiences. Stay tuned for that! If not a blog, maybe a book!) Take a look at some of the pics from our 2010 Switzerland hiking trip!

That's us!

My dad loves to take us on hiking trips when we are all together in Switzerland. That way we not only see the Swiss mountains, but really experience the beauty of Switzerland. We've skied in the Swiss Alps (well, we tried to get Reese to ski but she was NOT going to have it! I think it was the ski boots!) We've walked on glaciers, hiked through beautiful pastures and mountains, and even had a snack break right next to the Matterhorn. (below!)

Only 3 more days until Bryan and I leave Los Angeles & arrive in Europe! I'm getting SO excited I've already started packing! I can't wait to tell you about our next adventure with  photos to come! Long story short, I am so blessed with an amazing family to make memories with!

Au revoir! A la prochaine! (Good bye! Until next time!)

Home Sweet Suisse Home

I adore my family. I love spending time with them, no matter the location, when we are all together in the same place, I cherish every moment! This past week I flew from LA to NYC to meet up with my family (who flew in from Texas) and then we flew 8 more hours en route to Geneva,  Switzerland!

I adore all things Suisse now that I have gotten a chance to go three times now! It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! I hope you enjoy the photos from our family trip last week! We had a blast skiing/hiking in the Suisse mountains, shopping in Geneva, Montreaux & other charming areas, riding the trains, attempting to speak french, dining, etc! Here are few of the memories made last week!

Suisse Family Trip 2010

What an amazing week in SWITZERLAND with the family! Bryan, Pam, Kevin and I flew to Switzerland to spend a week with my Daddy at his chateau in Bursinel. My dad organized an amazing two-day hike in the Suisse alps that we have all been training for, and I will never forget that experience exploring Switzerland with my family! We wore special "crampons" to hike across a glacier, did some rock climbing...it was some serious hiking! It was awesome! We hiked about 7 hours the first day ending at the top of Zermatt, where we stayed in the mountain lodge overnight. The next morning we hiked back down, another 5-7 hours. It was the best feeling getting to the top, then again making it back down in one piece! I have to admit it was no stroll in the park! Thank goodness Bryan has been training me in California to be ready for hiking in Zermatt!

After our two-day hike, Bryan and I took a train to Paris to visit the city for a couple of days. It was just as romantic as everyone says it is! We walked all around the city, dining at cute little French cafes, browsing all the charming shops and making sure to see all the beautiful architecture and history throughout Paris. My favorite sight? The Eiffel Tower!

The Eiffel Tower was gorgeous at night!
and during the day!

It was an amazing trip that I will never forget!
