Food Truck Date Night in LA

Food Trucks. Have you heard of them? You may see them becoming more and more popular in cities such as Los Angeles and Dallas....they aren't your average food trucks! You can find fine dining choices on the menus at one of these trucks parked on the side of the road...there's even an iphone ap that my husband uses to located his favorite food trucks such as "the grilled cheese truck" or the "Lobsta food truck."

Last night we had a "Wednesday night date night" and walked to the "Lobsta" food truck parked nearby where we dined on Lobster bisque and some kind of yummy lobster roll! How about that!

Be on the lookout for this popular new mobile trend in your city! If you haven't tried a food truck before, I recommend it! It's not that bad!

Aerosmith

Tonight Bryan and I are going out for a Monday Night Date Night to go see AEROSMITH perform at the Hollywood bowl!

I'm hoping he sings the 90's Aerosmith classics like "Cryin" and "Dude looks like a lady!"

Pretty much all the songs on this top 10 list! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBO1j8CGnCQ

Just another fun LA memory to add to our bucket list!

MTV Movie Awards 2012

We went to the MTV Movie awards last night on a double date with my friend Bonnie & her man! It was a blast...it's another very "So LA" thing for us to add to our bucket list! Here are some pics from last night! My favorite part of the show? Seeing Peeta from the Hunger Games!

Mississippi Picnic

This weekend was the "Mississippi in LA Picnic" so B and I went to see what it's all about. There was mingling with other Mississippi folks, a blues band, pulled pork sandwiches and good ole' fashion sweet tea. It was a blast! Love my "Mississippi in LA" family. (P.S. I thought I took a lot of photos but ends up I only took about 3! Bummer!) If you live in LA and went to school in Mississippi or are from there, (or married a Mississippi boy like me) then you should come next time! http://www.mississippipicnicla.com/

Bryan and I enjoying southern style catfish, pulled pork & sweet tea!

Celeb Sighting: Kyle Richards of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

I love a good celebrity sighting, It always reminds me of why it's fun to live in Hollywood!

Today I was in Sherman Oaks at a mall "scouting" for families to be on my new show I'm currently working on. While I was scanning the crowd for fresh talent, I spotted my favorite Real Housewife of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards, doing some holiday shopping! As usual, I tweeted my favorite celebrity to make sure it was really her, and sure enough, she tweeted back to confirm!
Check her out on Twitter!

This may be one of my favorite celeb sightings this year!
If you don't know who Kyle is, she is fabulous. Want to know more about Kyle?

Until next time,
xoxo from your Hollywood Guru,

Tim Urban (Idol Season 9)

I ran into American Idol contestant Tim Urban at my cousin-in-law's pink carpet charity event launch called, "A Scent For Humanity"...
I totally was a fan of his! ha!  (he was on the season that Lee Dewyze won)
so I think he counts as a celeb sighting, right?
Anyway, he's from Dallas and so I had to tell him way to represent! :)

The Hollywood Bowl

One of my favorite things to do in Los Angeles is go to concerts with my husband at the Hollywood Bowl. We have gone to see Dave Matthews, James Taylor & Carol King, John Mayer to name a few! The Hollywood Bowl is just walking distance from our apartment so it's always fun to walk over to catch a concert on a cool LA night for a date!
John Mayer
Going out to another show at the Bowl!
Dave Matthews
I always love to see DMB, but I think I have to say my favorite show this year was to see Jack Johnson! Maybe because he is one of my favorite artists, but he was just so good live! I sang along to every single song! (sorry Bryan!)  Here is one of my favorite songs, please try not to listen to the tone deaf lady singing and cheering along while filming this song! ha! Just wanted to share one of my favorite past times to do with my husband out here in LA LA land! Rock on!

The Hollywood Bowl is a famous outdoor amphitheatre located in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles. The Hollywood Bowl is well known for its band shell, a distinctive set of concentric arches that graced the site from 1929 through 2003, before being replaced with a somewhat larger one in 2004. The shell is set against the backdrop of the Hollywood Hills and the famous Hollywood Sign to the Northeast.

Am I allowed to brag on my husband? After working for    in Hollywood as a Financial Consultant, Bryan landed a well deserved new gig this past month and is now a Senior Accountant (for Live Nation) managing the House of Blues venue in Las Vegas. Not to mention his office is on Rodeo drive in Beverly Hills!   Congrats B!
