Suisse Family Trip 2010

What an amazing week in SWITZERLAND with the family! Bryan, Pam, Kevin and I flew to Switzerland to spend a week with my Daddy at his chateau in Bursinel. My dad organized an amazing two-day hike in the Suisse alps that we have all been training for, and I will never forget that experience exploring Switzerland with my family! We wore special "crampons" to hike across a glacier, did some rock climbing...it was some serious hiking! It was awesome! We hiked about 7 hours the first day ending at the top of Zermatt, where we stayed in the mountain lodge overnight. The next morning we hiked back down, another 5-7 hours. It was the best feeling getting to the top, then again making it back down in one piece! I have to admit it was no stroll in the park! Thank goodness Bryan has been training me in California to be ready for hiking in Zermatt!

After our two-day hike, Bryan and I took a train to Paris to visit the city for a couple of days. It was just as romantic as everyone says it is! We walked all around the city, dining at cute little French cafes, browsing all the charming shops and making sure to see all the beautiful architecture and history throughout Paris. My favorite sight? The Eiffel Tower!

The Eiffel Tower was gorgeous at night!
and during the day!

It was an amazing trip that I will never forget!

Product Testing Institute - Models

This is one of many commercials created by my friend (and starring) Nick Chiodini! He actually wanted me to be one of these lovely blonde ladies but I was off jet setting to Dallas to visit my little star Reesie!
Maybe your next commercial Nick, I will always play a dumb blonde for you! ha! That shouldn't be too hard! Anyways, enjoy!

Hipster Kid

Today was a great day at Hipster, located in Westlake Village, California.

The ladies of this adorable kids store for the stars welcomed me to set up a live casting event to find families with kids to be on the hit show
 "Supernanny" on ABC.

After casting moms with kids for the hit show Supernanny,
I made sure to pick up a few tutus and tiny tops for my niece Reese and even found a surprise to send Piper, my friend Paige's new baby girl!  If you want to make sure your tot is wearing the must have duds of the season, take a look at Hipster!

Thanks Hip Sisters Elizabeth McNamara-Thompson and Julianne McNamara-Zeile for hosting a Hip Event for Supernanny Casting!

Full Time Wife with 3 Part Time Jobs!

So you've probably noticed that I keep posting casting calls on my blog.
I'm so happy to finally find work. I have been looking for a job since I returned from my honeymoon!
I still would love to get into pharmaceutical sales one day, but for now, God opened some old school career doors for me and has been keeping me busy! Finally! I'm now working part time for 3 different shows! I forgot how much I enjoying working in TV casting...reminds me of when I first moved to Los Angeles and worked at MTV.

I'm casting for ABC's Supernanny, which is fun because I get to find families with kids and I have an excuse to wear my converse shoes, my niece's Silly Bandz and a t-shirt for "work" instead of my medical sales outfits that made me feel like I was 40. I'm also working for a former boss I had years ago at MTV, who now has created his own business called PEOPLE FARM INC. and am casting a new huge show about wedding planners. Last but not least, bringing it back to the old school, I'm going to be casting teenie boppers for an MTV pilot. I'm just happy that the Lord opened some doors for me finally! I don't have a full time job yet, so keep me in mind! :) but as long as someone in Hollywood needs me for casting, I'm in!

Newlywed life is so much fun. I love being married. Bryan and I have taken up a new hobby, hiking! We have been going about every weekend. If we don't hike, we go to concerts in Hollywood, since he always brings home tickets from his work, LIVE NATION. I'm so excited this weekend we are going to see JOHN MAYER and then my favorite, DAVE MATTHEWS at the Hollywood Bowl! Whooo hoo! Can't wait!

Happy Weekend from Hollywood Ya'll!

Hiking

My dad loves to hike and has invited me, Bryan, my sister and her husband to Switzerland for a week of family hiking in the Suisse Alps! So to get ready for our BIG hike in September, Bryan and I have been warming up doing some hiking around California! I feel like an official hiker now that I have all new "real" gear (if I look the part, I can play the part!)

Happy Trails! (No pun intended!)

Dallas, Diapers and Divas

I just got back from spending a week in Dallas visiting my family in Plano; Pam, Kevin and my niece Reese as well as visiting my good friend Paige Kelly at her baby shower held at her home in Southlake.
It was such a wonderful week and I thank God for blessing me with such wonderful family and friends.
He is so good isn't he?
I adore my niece, as you probably know if you have ever met me or read this blog, so it was awesome to spend time with Reese when I made Pam have some "me time" at the salon while Reesie and I just hung out in downtown Dallas coloring at starbucks over a cup of milk for her, and a latte for me. Then we walked around outside watching the "choo choo train" (it was really a trolly) and shared a slice of pizza and colored some more until mommy came out of the salon beautiful and blonde again. I think that was my favorite day because i got some "Aunt T and Me Time" and it was awesome.
I got to go with Pam to take Reese to school at Grace Presbyterian in Plano. She colored a brown boot picture, rode a train, played with some other 2 year olds and then we picked her back up a couple hours later to play some more when "school" was out!
Another favorite part of the trip was hearing the ice cream truck outside of Pam and Kevin's home. I quickly asked if Reese had ever experienced chasing after the ice cream man and as soon as they responded no, I grabbed the baby and sprinted out the door chasing the ice cream truck as she laughed in excitement, hair blowing in the wind while her parents were running after us with, anxiously watching crazy aunt T with their precious child's head bobbing as I ran down the street in excitement. She picked a dora the explorer ice cream once we finally made it to the ice cream man. I hope she remembers that moment when she grows up...it was so much fun!

Every trip to Texas is always a blast, my family means the world to me. It was bittersweet leaving sweet Reese and my best friend Pam, but at the same time, my amazing husband was there to pick me up when I arrived back in Los Angeles. Life is good, God is good and has amazed me day by day with his grace and blessings. Every time I think of my family, friends, and husband, I thank my God for them.
Reese enjoying her icecream, double fisting it!
I think she likes it!
        i adore my niece
playing dress up, one of our favorite games

My good friend Paige is expecting a sweet little girl named Piper, and she had her baby shower this weekend! It was so much fun, so girlie, pink and perfect. My sister and I went and it was so wonderful to see the mommy-to-be in such good health, happy as she is expecting her first little blessing this September. Here are a few snapshots of the decor at the party!
Congrats Paigie girl, we can't wait to meet Piper! The baby shower was so cute!

Terranea Resort

For the fourth of July, Bryan surprised me by taking me on a trip for the 3 day holiday weekend to a beautiful oceanfront hideaway in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, the Terranea Resort
It was the most romantic resort located on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. It was the perfect place for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We enjoyed hiking around the beautiful property, spent time relaxing by the pool lounging in chairs that faced a clear wall for a perfect view of the ocean, ate scrumptious seafood, listened to live music and watched fireworks from our balcony.
Bryan loves his sunsets, and I don't mind them too much myself!
our 4th of July dinner!
It was such a fun and special way to spend our first Fourth of July as Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Mason!

Love...

Dedicated to the most amazing, wonderful, loving, awesome role models a daughter could ask for.  To My Parents...
Tuesday, June 29th, is not just any day for a certain pair of high school sweethearts from a small town called West Point, Mississippi. Tuesday marks the day that a then-long haired accounting student at MSU, Michael Murphy Lowther, and a green eyed baptist sorority "Lancer" girl, Donna June Maddox, were united in a service of a Christian marriage. Mike even sold his two favorite things in order to buy a ring so he could pop the question and win his bride's heart; His beloved cow, "EMMA" and even his motorcycle in exchange for a diamond ring for miss Donna. When he proposed over a romantic dinner at "Shoney's," she said YES and the rest is history!

The small town love birds left their roots when Mike graduated from MSU and built a life together traveling all over, experiencing life as newlyweds in Memphis, Chicago and Houston where they settled down to have three perfect children, (wink!) and live happily ever after.

Mom and Dad, you have shown unconditional love, support, and the precious gift of serving as role models, leading by example through your dedication, value, character and commitment towards one another through your marriage. Your family and friends love you more than you know!

Congratulations for 36 Wonderful Years of Marriage Donna June and Michael Murphy Lowther!
As the French say,  Salud! "Bon Anniversaire De Mariage!"
Happy 36th Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. And now these three remain. Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13.
