Dear Michael

WOW! ....I can't believe you are turning 21! 

I still remember the day you were born like it was yesterday. I was in the third grade and got a call to go to the principles office because I had a phone call...I answered the phone to hear dad say, "Teresa...you have a little brother! His name is Michael." 

I had just become a big sister! I ran back to my class room and announced to the whole class, "I have a little brother!"

Michael, you have truly grown into an amazing young man! I am so very proud of you. What a blessing you are to me, my little brother! We have so many memories together and we have so many more to make in the years to come! 

The past 21 years, you have touched my life in more ways than you know. You are truly the most awesome brother a sister could ask for. Your family loves you so very much! 

Happy 21st Birthday  to my amazing, one of a kind, sweet, thoughtful, caring, smart, loving, AWESOME little brother...MICHAEL!

Happy Weekend! Last night Bryan and I walked down our street to the Feast of LA street festival going on near Hollywood Blvd. We started the night on the roof top watching the sunset, then joined the street crowd snacking on Zeppole, Pizza, Spaghetti, Cannoli and Meatballs!

Food Truck Date Night in LA

Food Trucks. Have you heard of them? You may see them becoming more and more popular in cities such as Los Angeles and Dallas....they aren't your average food trucks! You can find fine dining choices on the menus at one of these trucks parked on the side of the road...there's even an iphone ap that my husband uses to located his favorite food trucks such as "the grilled cheese truck" or the "Lobsta food truck."

Last night we had a "Wednesday night date night" and walked to the "Lobsta" food truck parked nearby where we dined on Lobster bisque and some kind of yummy lobster roll! How about that! 

Be on the lookout for this popular new mobile trend in your city! If you haven't tried a food truck before, I recommend it! It's not that bad!

Tonight Bryan and I are going out for a Monday Night Date Night to go see AEROSMITH perform at the Hollywood bowl!

I'm hoping he sings the 90's Aerosmith classics like "Cryin" and "Dude looks like a lady!"

Camping!

Last weekend was my first time to camp...ever! I've gone hiking many times but I have never actually "gone camping." (Sleeping in air conditioned cabins at Pine Cove doesn't count! And staying overnight in a Swiss lodge after a day of hiking doesn't really count!) This was hard core camping....meaning sleeping in a tent! And guess what...it was a blast!

We did about a 5 mile hike wearing our backpacks filled with water, snacks, bug spray, sheets & sleeping bags. Here are a few snap shots of our adventure in the Los Angeles National Forest!

He knew how to set up the tent, build a fire & do everything else needed to camp! 

We were giggling in the tent because it was just funny to be camping! 

Bryan cooked us "camping food" on his little stove he packed in his bag! It actually tasted pretty good!

Overall, it was quite an adventure! I think I will go camping again!

MTV Movie Awards 2012

We went to the MTV Movie awards last night on a double date with my friend Bonnie & her man! It was a blast...it's another very "So LA" thing for us to add to our bucket list! Here are some pics from last night! My favorite part of the show? Seeing Peeta from the Hunger Games!
